
On Wednesday, 27 March 2019, the Provincial Secretary for Sport and Youth Vladimir Batez visited the municipalities of Mali Iđoš and Vrbas. The purpose of the visit was the implementation of the project “Support to sport and physical activities of girls – ActiveGirls”, co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg – IPA programme of cross-border cooperation between Hungary and Serbia, with the total budget of EUR 210,865.04 of which the funds of the European Union (IPA) amount to EUR 179,235.28. On behalf of the Provincial Secretariat for Sport and Youth, the independent advisor for sport and project manager of Active Girls, Marko Adamović, also participated in the visit.
The project directly involves 6 municipalities from the territory of AP Vojvodina as follows: Novi Kneževac, Čoka, Mali Iđoš, Vrbas, Apatin and Odžaci. Six primary schools from the mentioned municipalities will be fully equipped with the sport apparatus and props for the PE classes.
The guests form the Secretariat was first welcomed by the president of the municipality of Mali Iđoš, Mr Mako Lazić, with his associates. After the working meeting in the Municipality Hall the representatives of the Secretariat and the Municipality visited the Primary School “Vuk Karadžić” from Lovćenac which will be equipped with sport apparatus and props.
After the visit to the municipality of Mali Iđoš, the delegation of the Secretariat visited the municipality of Vrbas. The guests were welcomed by the president of the municipality of Vrbas, Mr Milan Glušac with his associates. After the working meeting in the Municipality Hall the representatives of the Secretariat and the Municipality visited the Primary School “20. Oktobar” from Vrbas which will be equipped with sport apparatus and props.
These visits to the municipalities of Mali Iđoš and Vrbas were used by Mr Batez to visit and see the situation of sport infrastructure on the territory of the mentioned municipalities so that they could be recovered, adapted and equipped with joint efforts in the next period.
